Who we are

Indie Film Backers, operated as indiefilmbackers.com, 106 Nelson Circle, Olathe, KS 66061. Reach us any time through our contact form or at hello@indiefilmbackers.com.

What we collect

Only two things, and only when you give them to us:

• What you type into our forms, your name, email address, an optional phone number, your ZIP code, and your answers about films.
• Basic technical data on arrival, which link or event brought you here (a campaign tag in the web address) and the page you landed on. This tells us which of our outreach actually works. It is not used to identify you personally.

Why we collect it

• To reply to you and keep you informed about this company.
• To work out who should be introduced to whom.
• To understand which of our outreach efforts are worth repeating.

We do not sell your data. We do not rent it. We do not share it with advertisers, or with any third party for their own purposes.

Cookies and analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not set cookies, does not use your IP address to identify you, and does not follow you to other sites. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out spam bots; it checks for signs of automation, not who you are. We don't use tracking pixels from social networks or ad platforms.

Who handles your data for us

Cloudflare hosts this website and stores what you send through our forms. They process it only to run the service for us.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while you're on our list. Ask us to delete them and we'll do it, normally within a few days, and always within 30 days.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe, it's easy to unsubscribe in every email we send, and it takes effect right away.
• Access or correct, message us and we'll tell you exactly what we hold, and fix anything that's wrong.
• Delete, message us and we'll remove you and your data.
• Complain, if we've handled it badly, tell us. If we haven't fixed it, you're entitled to raise it with the relevant authority in your state.

Sending email

Every email we send identifies us as the sender, carries a truthful subject line, includes our postal address and offers a clear way to opt out, as the US CAN-SPAM Act requires.

Security

Access to your data is limited to the people running this company. We use reputable service providers, don't store more than we need, and don't keep it longer than necessary. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects you, we will tell you directly.

Children

This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll email the people on our list. The date at the top always shows the current version.
